... throughout the years, Global Synergy for Leadership has seen God multiply our impact across several countries and communities. We’ve reached over 20,000 leaders in both urban and rural areas, empowering them to create lasting change in their communities.
Some of our key achievements include:
- Training 12,000+ leaders in the DRC through a variety of programs, including leadership, entrepreneurship, and discipleship.
- Opening 3 Leadership Centers in the DRC (Goma, Kasai, and Kinshasa), which became hubs of evangelism, discipleship, and mentorship.
- Partnering with churches, international organizations and government agencies to bring Christian Leadership to leaders in various sectors.
- Successfully transitioning to online platforms, training over 8,000 leaders across Francophone Africa, Haiti, and Canada.

Our Story
Our Story
Global Synergy for Leadership was founded in 2011 by Pastor Eric Selemani, who, while pursuing his studies in Seminary, was deeply inspired by his encounter with a member of the John Maxwell Team. This encounter sparked the vision to create a mobile and accessible leadership training initiative, known initially as the Mobile Institute of Leadership and Technologies (MILT).
In its early days, MILT aimed to not only develop spiritual leaders but also provide practical life skills such as computer basics, soap making, candle making, and baking. As the demand grew, so did our vision. By 2012, we introduced a six-month certificate course, although financial challenges led us to return to a more affordable mobile school model.
In 2013, we received invitations from churches and organizations across Africa, including Pastor Eric’s home country, the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC). A thorough needs assessment revealed the tremendous need for leadership training in the region, prompting the decision to relocate to Congo in 2014.
Within three years, our work in Congo flourished, and over 12,000 leaders were trained in both urban and rural areas. In 2018, we officially registered the organization as a non-profit under the name Global Synergy for Leadership. During this time, we expanded our reach to international NGOs, companies, and even government agencies, including the Provincial Parliament in Kasai, where we delivered Biblical Leadership Training.
Despite the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, we embraced online training, reaching over 8,000 leaders across Francophone Africa, Haiti, and Canada via Zoom between 2019 and 2022. As of 2023, we adopted an invitation-only model, focusing on providing high-quality, targeted training.
In 2025, amid rising insecurity in the DRC, we relocated to Uganda, where our journey first began. This new chapter is marked by profound changes, as we recalibrate our mission to focus on creating leaders who are empowered to create more leaders.
